Para el que ande un poco perdido, la denominación EVO es utilizada por HTC al otro lado del Atlántico, y la verdad es que no esperaba que el teléfono saltara con la misma a nuestros mercados, pero así lo veremos.
HTC EVO 3D es uno de los teléfonos potentes del mercado, más allá de sus posibilidades 3D en la pantalla y en la cámara, y es que en su interior entramos el mismo hardware que se ha estrenado en el HTC Sensation. Un doble núcleo Snapdragon firmado por Qualcomm.
La pantalla de 4.3 pulgadas conserva la resolución qHD del Sensation, y en la parte trasera tenemos un par de cámaras de 5 megapíxeles que podrán grabar contenidos en 3D, tanto fotos como vídeos, éstos en formato 720p (30 fps). Para los que os importen estos temas, informaros que la apertura máxima de las lentes es f/2,2
Una de las especificaciones que parecen potenciadas es la de la autonomía, con una batería de 1730mAh, esperamos conocer más sobre este aspecto en los primeros análisis que están apareciendo en los Estados Unidos.

LG Optimus 3D, nacido por y para las tres dimensiones
Imagínate una consola Nintendo 3DS pero con forma y funcionalidades de teléfono. Así es el LG Optimus 3D, un teléfono contundente que huye de los datos de imbatible peso y grosor de sus hermanos de la promoción 2011 de teléfonos de LG.
La base del teléfono es la espectacular pantalla de 4.3 pulgadas (por un error de edición en el vídeo se menciona un tamaño de 3.5 pulgadas, dato incorrecto) con resolución de 480×800 píxeles y que cuenta con la peculiaridad de que es capaz de recrear el efecto 3D sin que tengamos que usar gafas nosotros. El resultado es idéntico a la de la consola 3D de Nintendo, tanto en lo bueno como en lo malo.
Lo positivo es que el efecto 3D es real y se aprecia bastante bien en una pantalla brillante y nítida. En el lado opuesto nos encontramos con el pobre ángulo de visión, que hay una distancia óptima para apreciar en todo su esplendor el efecto 3D y que la vista se cansa bastante. Así que no queda más remedio que tirar de salida HDMI para optimizar la visualización 3D, aunque entonces ya tendremos que usar gafas en el televisor.
Al menos el contenido, que sigue siendo muy escaso, lo habremos podido crear nosotros. La doble cámara de 5 megapíxeles se encarga de tomar fotos y grabar vídeos a 720p en tres dimensiones con un muy buen resultado (sin 3D podemos ampliar la calidad a 1080p).
Para que todo funcione como debe, el LG Optimus 3D tira de doble núcleo (pero no NVidia Tegra 2 sino un TI OMAP4430 a 1 Ghz con GPU PowerVR SGX540) más que suficiente para la función 3D y el resto de prestaciones de este teléfono, el cual incluye solamente Android 2.2 el cual podrá actualizarse a la 2.3 pero no hay fecha. Con sus peculiaridades tridimensionales es un factor a tener en cuenta pues no serán muchas las nuevas versiones que veamos para este teléfono de LG.
La personalización de LG para esa versión de Android se ha centrado casi exclusivamente en el menú especial (muy espectacular) que concentra todo el poder de la tercera dimensión, con acceso a la galería, los vídeos, la cámara de fotos, juegos (el efecto 3D de los juegos, al contrario que el de los vídeos, no nos ha convencido) y el canal 3D de Youtube. Por cierto, al igual que ocurre con la consola de Nintendo, el efecto 3D de la pantalla lo podemos regular o incluso desactivar completamente.
Así que el LG Optimus 3D se centra casi exclusivamente en ser un teléfono multimedia (muy buen sonido) sólido con modo 3D que funciona tanto en la reproducción sin gafas como en la creación de contenido. Ahí deben mirar los usuarios para decidir su compra, pues como hemos indicado, ni grosor ni peso acompañan, además de que la batería, de 1.500 mAh, ha resultado escasa para lo que este teléfono requiere, y ha quedado como la peor de todos los doble núcleo que hemos probado en Xataka. Si le das un uso intenso, seguramente antes de que acabe la jornada tendrás que correr a buscar un enchufe. Al menos te quedará el consuelo de que en apenas una hora, la batería queda plenamente lista para darle caña de nuevo al 3D.
